Valor Tech Services is a communications service contractor specializing in Voice, Data and Fiber Optic cabling. We design, implement and support highly available, scalable and secure network cabling systems. Our technical staff has experience and certifications in a broad range of best-of-breed solutions for the physical layer of infrastructure. Our focus on this market and our daily exposure to cabling issues as well as our experience with a wide array of projects are key differentiators when we are compared to other consulting companies and re-sellers. Multiple years of field experience is preferred.

• Interested Technicians will have to install cable pathway systems, Cat 5e/6, Coax, Single and Multimode fiber, firestop systems, and reading blueprints.

• Terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables.

• Technicians will have to route cables in telecom closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets.

• Technicians will have to build out telecom and equipment rooms as specified.

 

Required Qualifications:​

• Required to work on and from ladders and scissor/boom lifts installing low voltage cables and devices.

• Some travel required in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, sometimes overseas, usually with overnight stays.

• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, high school diploma or GED equivalency, and be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Interested Technicians should have experience installing cable pathway systems, Cat 5e/6, Coax, Single and Multimode fiber, firestop systems, and reading blueprints

• Possess working knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and the National Electric Code

• Industry and manufacturer specific certifications (Panduit, Corning, Paging, and AV)

• Fiber Optic certifications 

• BISCI certification highly desirable

• Low voltage installation: 1 year
